Week of August 27, 2023

Today: “A Confident Faith Seeks the Lord’s Face” • Psalm 27:7-10; 2 Corinthians 4:7-18; John 16:28-33 • When we seek the Lord’s face, what will we find? A God who looks upon us in love. A Lord who is gracious at His core and would spare no cost—not even His one and only Son—to make us His own. This is the Lord almighty whom we seek, and He looks into our eyes tenderly. He will never forsake us. These eternal truths give us confidence as we face the everyday—and perhaps that urges us to seek the face of the Lord all the more. And because we seek the Lord’s face, when people look at us, they see reflected in us, the face of God.
