Week of August 31, 2025

TODAY: “The God of Abundance: The Great Care-Giver” • Scripture Readings: Proverbs 25:2-10; Hebrews 13:1-17; Luke 14:1-14; Exodus 16 Our God is a God of abundance: He lacks nothing, yet He delights to provide for His people. His abundance is not measured by what we give Him, but by what He freely gives to us. He is the great Care-Giver, who feeds us in body and soul because He loves and sustains His whole creation. From manna in the wilderness to the overflowing baskets after a meal for 5,000, Scripture shows a God who provides more than enough. As Hebrews reminds us, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid” (13:6), for “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (13:8). This same Lord gives us life abundant in Him (John 10:10)—a life not rooted in possessions, but in knowing the Giver whose love and grace never run dry.

Coming this Fall: Worthy Is the Lamb Visitation Campaign
“Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!” — Revelation 5:12

PRAYER FOR VISITATION TEAMS: God bless these servants of the Lamb as they engage people in conversation and prayer.
The Worthy Is the Lamb campaign is about to begin. Visitors have been trained to connect with Prince of Peace families with a personal visit, whether that be in a home, over coffee, or a quiet place at church. Worthy Is the Lamb is a spiritual invitation to grow in faith, deepen our relationships, and expand God’s kingdom together as people meet for prayer and conversation, celebrating God’s work among us, and praying for the future. Please keep this initiative in your prayers.
Would you like to be among the first visited? Call the office at 407-277-3945 or email staff@poporlando.com. This campaign of prayer, sharing, and visitation will run through November 23, Christ the King Sunday.
