Week of January 21, 2024

Today: “Embrace the Good News” • Mark 1:14-20; Jonah 3:1-5, 10; 1 Corinthians 7:29-31 • As Jesus begins His ministry, He gets right to the point: “The time has come. The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news.” Jesus comes to embrace what in many ways is a bad-news world, and He enfolds our lives with the good news of God’s love. Jesus then invites us to join Him in His mission of drawing others to live under God’s reign.

About Our Sermon Series: Embrace • At the beginning of this new year, we have opportunity to embrace the uncertainty of the days ahead with a sure confidence in the God who goes with us, whose hand is leading us and whose love is supporting us. Walking with Jesus, the One who embraces us with His boundless love, gives us great faith as we go out with good courage.
