Today: “Jesus’ Calling” • Matthew 4:12–25; Isaiah 9:1–4; 1 Corinthians 1:10–18 • As Jesus begins His public ministry, His message is clear and urgent: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has drawn near.” This good news is not only spoken—it is embodied. When Jesus calls Peter and Andrew, James and John, they immediately leave their nets and follow Him into a new way of life. And everywhere Jesus goes, the nearness of God’s kingdom takes on flesh as He teaches, heals, restores, and makes whole what sin has fractured. The call of Jesus still comes to us today—not only to believe the good news, but to follow Him into the work God is already doing. How might Jesus be calling you? And what might it look like to follow Him where you are?
