Week of November 13, 2022

Today in Worship • “Redemption is Drawing Near” • Luke 21:5-28, Malachi 4:1-6, 2 Thessalonians 3:6-13 • Jesus could be straightforward about the challenges His followers would face. (In fact, it almost sounded as if He was just as easily speaking of circumstances in our world today.) Hearing about challenges might sound discouraging on the surface. However, Jesus spoke about these things in order to prepare us. His words bring powerful promises of our ultimate deliverance at His return with power and great glory. “When you see these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” In what ways are you looking forward to Jesus’ return? How might the confidence and peace you have through Jesus help others grasp the good news of His love and deliverance?
