Week of November 19, 2023

Today: “The God Who Gives…Hope” • 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11; Matthew 25:14-30 • Regardless of the ways darkness seeks to envelop everything in this world, God’s light always breaks through. God’s Word speaks directly to God’s people: we “are all children of the light and children of the day.” The darkness does not rule over us, Christ does, and for this reason we have an enduring hope. More than that, we have been appointed to bring the light and life of our Lord Jesus Christ light into this dark world—to share the hope that is within us. With confidence we approach this day and every day, knowing we are His people, He has given us this purpose, and He Himself is with us to the end of the age.
