Today: “Blessed in Prayer” • Scripture Readings: Genesis 32:22-30; 2 Timothy 3:14-4:5; Luke 18:1-8 • Have you ever wished for a direct connection with someone who can truly fix things? We are already blessed with that gift in prayer—a living connection with the God who hears, strengthens, and blesses His people. Jacob wrestled with God through the night and would not let go until he received a blessing. Jesus Himself prayed to His Father and wrestled in the Garden as He prepared to lay down His life for the world. God always meets us where we are, and through prayer He shapes our hearts to be steadfast and true—mirroring His own heart of love and faithfulness.
About this Series: “Blessed” • Blessed is not what we achieve, earn, or hold—it’s who we are in Christ. Out of that identity, we live as a blessing in the world.
Pastor Ken is in Indiana today celebrating the 75th anniversary of St. James Lutheran Church in Marion—the congregation where he was confirmed and nurtured in faith. It was there that Jesus shaped PK’s walk with Him and prepared him for a life of ministry. We are grateful to Pastor Borges for sharing his gifts and preaching at all three services today.

Sunday Nursery • 9:00am – While our 9:00am nursery is not staffed, but parents are welcome to use this space with their children, providing their own supervision, and watching the livestream.
11:00am – Our trained, background-checked volunteer will continue caring for children ages 6 months to 5 years during the 11:00am services. See DCE Eric for more information!
Bible Classes
Adult Sunday Morning Bible Class at 10:00 am • The class is led by Jim Essig. We are studying the Gospel of John. Classes are in the Music Room during our 10:00 am Education Hour, between 9 am & 11 am worship.
SUNDAY SCHOOL FOR AGE 4 – GRADE 5: Kingdom Quest • Kingdom Quest is a Bible overview curriculum that teaches children the core stories of the Bible and helps them see why they matter today. We help children experience God’s love through Bible stories, crafts, games and more., as we learn to follow Jesus. Youth Bible Class – 10:00am • The youth bible class meets in the board room (church office) for Bible study. They will be looking at what the Bible says about serving him as a teen and having bible-based discussions. Be sure to have the bible app downloaded onto your phone!
The Mid-week Bible Class for Adults • Wednesday Mornings 9:30am – 10:30am in the Board Room. Led by Pastor Ken, we look ahead to the Scriptures for the upcoming Sunday.

Blessing of The Bibles – TODAY at All Services • During the Children’s Message in each service, everyone, children, and adults, will be asked to raise up their Bible to be prayed over. This can be a “normal” Bible, a children’s picture Bible, an E-book, or whatever you use to read God’s Word.
Trunk or Treat – Next Sunday, October 26 at 4:00pm • Spread the Word about our Annual Trunk or Treat! We will be hosting hundreds of children and their families as we share candy, prizes and smiles with them. We are also collecting candy and financial donations to support this project. 12th Annual Hymn Festival at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer on Saturday, November 1 at 4pm • Enjoy, sing along and be entertained by extraordinary music and hymns, including old, familiar tunes and new original compositions, at the 12th Annual Hymn Festival Located at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer (2525 S. FLGA Youth Ministry Weekend – November 7-9 • Middle School and High School retreats happen the same weekend at the same camp, with separate programs, housing, and activities.
