Week of February 8, 2026

Today: “What Are We and What Are We Doing Here” • Titus 3:3-8; Luke 19:1-10 • Jesus is on a mission to restore and redeem all people, in short because God wants His world back. Jesus calls us to follow Him and look for people who need God’s love. Jesus is already at work, and He has us right where He wants us in our neighborhoods and community. While we can’t save people, we can love them where they are and have joy in participating in Jesus’ redemptive mission.
Our Guest Speaker this weekend is Pastor Greg Finke, author of the “Joining Jesus” book series. Pastor Finke leads Dwelling 1:14, a ministry that comes alongside pastors and leaders to help them intentionally disciple their people to join Jesus on His mission in the places they already live, work and go to school. Pastor Finke will also be leading our adult Bible class this morning.

Lent begins on Wednesday, February 18
LENTEN THEME:         O God our Help our Hope
“This is the confidence we have in approaching God:
that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.”
1 John 5:14

Ash Wednesday – February 18
11:00am               Traditional Service (light lunch to follow)
7:00pm                  Miércoles de ceniza (Spanish worship)

The Lenten season helps us focus our attention on our need for repentance and to turn toward the redemptive mercy and forgiveness that is ours through Jesus. The sign of ashes speaks of the frailty and uncertainty of human life, marking the penitence of the Christian community. The sign of Cross reminds us of the lengths to which Jesus would go to redeem us and makes us God’s own. The 11am service will have a light lunch to follow.

Watch for more information about an English worship option at 6:00pm for Ash Wednesday.

Midweek Lenten Services at 11am *Midweek Lenten Worship dates: Wednesdays February 25, March 4, March 11, March 18, March 25* | Each Wednesday at 11:00 am we will gather for worship and prayer in the Sanctuary. As worship Jesus, the Lamb of God that was slain we focus our attention on our need for repentance and to turn toward the redemptive mercy and forgiveness that is ours through Jesus.
