Bible Classes
Adult Sunday Morning Bible Class at 10:00 am • The class is led by Jim Essig. We are studying the book of Acts. Classes are in the Music Room during our 10:00 am Education Hour, between 9 am & 11 am worship.
SUNDAY SCHOOL FOR AGE 4 – GRADE 5: Heart of God • We help children experience God’s love through Bible stories, crafts, games and more., as we learn to follow Jesus. The children will have a lot of fun and learn important faith lessons at the same time. https://poporlando.breezechms.com/form/57d9c8
*NEW! Youth Summer Bible Class – 10:00am • This summer youth bible class will be held at McDonald’s (next to the church) for breakfast and bible study. They will be looking at what the bible says about serving him as a teen and having bible-based discussions. Be sure to have the bible app downloaded on to your phone!
The Mid-week Bible Class is taking a break for this summer through the end of July.

Save the Date! PoP Kids Club Family Game Night – Friday, July 26 at 5:30pm in the FLC • There will be an assortment of board game stations set up and some active, fun group games to follow. Pizza will be provided for dinner! All kids Aged 4-Grade 5 are welcome and encouraged to participate. This is a family event, so we are looking for parents, grandparents or responsible adults to stay and supervise kids and to join in the fun as much as they are able. Wear your PoP Kids T-shirt!

Christmas in July Craft Fair – Saturday, July 27 at 9am-2pm Lutheran Haven Fellowship Hall • A very exciting one day shopping event of handcrafted, homemade Christmas gifts and one of a kind treasures made by local talent. Sponsored by Lutheran Haven Foundation Residents Advisory Committee. All Proceeds to benefit our Benevolent and Resident Life Enhancement opportunities at Lutheran Haven. Community Outreach Annual Back-to-School & Health Fair Event on Saturday, August 3 at 9am • Prince of Peace/Príncipe de Paz will again host its annual Back-to-School event that serves upwards of 800 people from our community. We will provide free backpacks with school supplies for elementary, middle and high school students. There will also be FREE physical exams; eye exams, health test, immunizations & more.

  • Volunteers Needed for This Event! All hands-on deck! Volunteer before, during and/or after the event. To make the event a success, we need YOUR help. Volunteers are needed and appreciated to prepare backpacks, set up and clean up for the event, and help during the event. Save The Date: Saturday, August 10 – Children’s Ministry Volunteer Interest Meeting • Are you interested in personally making ministry to Children and Young Families more effective at Prince of Peace/Principe de Paz?  On Saturday, August 10th at 10:00am in the Family Life Center, we will have a short meeting to present the vision for how we can better serve the spiritual needs of the next generation. You are encouraged to attend the meeting if ANY of the following sound like something you would want to volunteer for or support:
–               Sunday Morning Nursery Ministry – Planning Team or volunteer
–               Sunday School – classroom helper, supply coordinator
–               PoP Kids- Planning Team, event volunteer, behind the scenes prep, Community relations
–               Special Events Teams – Trunk or Treat, Easter Egg Hunt, Bible Camp, Christmas Event, etc.
–               PoP Preschool Engagement Team- Preschool Reader, Special Events, National Lutheran Schools Week

Confirmation Ministry Survey • Do you have a child, grandchild or friend of the family who is in 6th-12th Grade and would be interested in Confirmation Ministry this Fall? Let’s Help Those in Need! Medicine Donations Needed • Deaconess Ligia is requesting donations for medicine/medical supplies that will be sent to organizations serving those in need in Central and South America. All donations were greatly appreciated and could be dropped off at the church office. The types of medicines needed were high blood pressure medicine, diabetic medicine, respiratory medicine, and adult diapers, etc. If you have any questions, please contact Ligia via email. | ligia.borges@poporlando.com

Summer Office Hours • The church office will close at noon on Fridays during June and July. If you need campus access on Friday afternoon, please call ahead to make special arrangements.

Compassion Project – Donations Needed! • We are seeking the following items: AA and AAA batteries; men’s socks (white or black), and toothbrushes. All items can be dropped off in the church office, and they will be delivered to the Samaritan Resource Center. Thank you for helping those in need.
