He is risen indeed! Alleluia! “Undefeated: Death Defied” • Job 19:23-27; Psalm 118:15-29; 1 Corinthians 15:51-57; John 20:1-18 • Good Friday—day of defeat, so it would seem. As that day passed away, grieving Disciples were filled with discouragement, doubt, and despair. But Good Friday is always followed by Easter. Easter makes it clear as crystal: Jesus remains undefeated. He has defied death, the tomb is vacant, the Good News is verified by eyewitnesses: Jesus is alive and has defeated even death.
