Senior Adult Ministry
Prince of Peace provides the senior adults or seasoned citizens of the congregation and friends of Prince of Peace with several ways to connect with one another and with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Bible class is offered to adults of all ages after the 9:00 Sunday morning service concludes. The class meets in the Music Room, and participants are allowed to bring their coffee and sweets to the class. Since October of 2021, the Sunday morning Bible class has studied the following books of the Bible: Mark, Acts, Luke, Galatians, Ephesians, 1 Corinthians, and the Gospel of John. Currently the class is working through the book of Daniel.
Shut -In Visits & Holy Communion
Jim Essig, Director of Senior Adult Ministries, visits shut-ins and hospital patients to converse with them, give them Holy Communion, and pray with them. If you or a loved one desires a visit, please contact the church office or call or text Jim directly at 407-446-7147. Jim has also helped members to find transportation and to relocate to an improved living environment.
Lunch & Zilch
Every other month, Jim Essig hosts Lunch and Zilch in the Family Life Center. We thank Kathy McCartin for providing the lunches for these fun social events. Zilch is a dice game that involves a bit of strategy and provides a lot of laughs as players score points or “zilch,” don’t get any points during that turn.
