Ask for Directions

We see the Magi, in a sense, “going without knowing.” God provided the star to lead them. They know for whom they are looking (“the one born king of the Jews”). And they are wise to ask for directions. God’s word provides the map: “In Bethlehem in Judea.” Bringing their gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh, the Magi are led by God every step of the way. Yet, perhaps the greater gift is that they are led to Jesus, the Messiah, the One they have come to worship. Do you know anyone who is looking for the gifts that only Jesus can bring? Ask God for directions, seeking Him in His word, and He will lead you to be an instrument of His peace and hope.
