Compassion Project

The Compassion Project began in 2017 as a hand-to-hand ministry to people in our city who are experiencing homelessness. Our comfort bags were meant to supply just a few of the immediate needs of someone on the street at Christmas time. Today, thanks to your support, the Compassion Project is able to offer comfort several times a year! A change to the project since the pandemic is we are doing less hand-to-hand and more support of local agencies already in place. These are places where people may go regularly to receive counseling, medical care, food, and get a shower. Our team primarily works with the Samaritan Resource Center.

Please refer to our recently updated list of needed items below. There is no need to make bags, you can be assured that all donations will go directly to someone in need. There is a collection site in the church office hallway. Your financial gifts, as noted on your offering envelope or online, will be used to purchase any needed items that were not donated.
