Week of July 26, 2026

TODAY: “What Matters Most” • Matthew 13:44-52; Deuteronomy 7:6-9; Romans 8:28-39 • What is most important to you? Who or what do you value most in life? Jesus’ parables invite us to keep our eyes on what matters most: the kingdom of God that He ushers in. Jesus keeps pointing us to the treasure that is the kingdom of heaven, worth more than anything this world can offer, and its invitation is meant for all. As Jesus’ followers, we joyfully cast the net wide, inviting others to share in the priceless gift of life under His gracious reign. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, more and more people discover the joy of following Him.

Please Consider a Special Gift for the Office A/C: The air conditioner that cools ½ of the church office is not keeping up and will soon need to be replaced. We are still reviewing bids from HVAC Contractors. The cost for this 7 Ton unit could be around $20,000, based on initial quotes. If God moves you to give over and above your regular offerings, please designate it for “Building Fund.” Thank you.

Would you be in a more favorable tax position if you make an IRA gift to Prince of Peace? More members over 70½ have chosen to make a donation to Prince of Peace through their traditional IRA. Directing all or part of your RMD to the church is a Qualified Charitable Donation (QCD) that can benefit Prince of Peace without those dollars being included in your taxable income. Learn more by clicking here https://bit.ly/ira-charity-gifts.

Consider making a gift of appreciated stock, mutual fund, or another asset to Prince of Peace. The best assets to use for a gift are those that have appreciated significantly, such as publicly traded securities and real property. Assets you’ve owned for more than one year may qualify for a full range of tax benefits. Typical appreciated assets may include publicly traded securities, privately/closely held stock, mutual funds, and more. Learn more by clicking here https://bit.ly/donate-appreciated-assets.
