TODAY: The Day of Pentecost • Acts 2:1-21, Romans 8:14-17, John 7:37-39a • Pentecost is the day when the church commemorates the coming of the Holy Spirit on the followers of Jesus. The Spirit brought the renewal of the presence of Jesus, who had ascended to heaven. The Spirit comes to assure us that Jesus continues with us until the end of the world and enables us to live a Christian life in power and victory. The Spirit empowers each child of God to be able to serve others with the love of Christ. By the Spirit’s fire we are set ablaze to fulfill the mission of witnessing to Christ and preaching the gospel until Christ returns. And by the Spirit’s power we are united/unidos as one people of God at Prince of Peace/Príncipe de Paz.

🎉 TRUE NORTH BIBLE CAMP Starts Tomorrow! · Camp is FULL! God has blessed us with the volunteer staff we need and every Children’s Crew is Full! IF you know a child not registered yet, please contact DCE Eric Gerken about putting the child on the waiting list. Each year we usually have students who register but then are unable to attend. There is a very good chance that all waiting list children will be accepted. Please call or text Eric at 402-620-5877 with waiting list or any Bibler Camp questions. · Our children will be designating their offerings this year to L.A.M.P. – the Lutheran Association of Missionaries and Pilots. L.A.M.P works to provide food, clothes, medicine and religious materials to people who live in remote areas of Canada and Alaska that cannot be reached by roads. They fly these supplies in and minister to the people there. We would like to challenge the congregation to match or exceed the $500 goal that the children have for VBC week. You can do this with special gifts in the offering plate for the next 2 Sundays or by contacting DCE Eric Gerken in the church office. · Bible Camp Follow Up: In addition to a year’s worth of PoP Kids Club activities, we will be following up Camp on Sunday June 15th with a Mobile Petting Zoo on campus between worship services! From 10:00-11:00 kids and adults can pet a variety of animals on our playground. Then, we invite the families inside to complete some Father’s Day crafts and to meet our Sunday School volunteers. You do not have to attend Camp to visit our critters or do the Father’s Day crafts that day. |
⌚️ Set Your Alarms for 5:12pm 📲 Revelation 5:12 says, “Worthy is the Lamb….” We invite all Prince of Peace people to pray each day at 5:12pm. Please pray for our shared ministry, giving praise to God and the Lamb.
