Bible Classes
Adult Sunday Morning Bible Class at 10:00 am • The class is led by Jim Essig. We are studying the book of Acts. Classes are in the Music Room during our 10:00 am Education Hour, between 9 am & 11 am worship.
SUNDAY SCHOOL FOR AGE 4 – GRADE 5: Kingdom Quest • Kingdom Quest is a Bible overview curriculum that teaches children the core stories of the Bible and helps them see why they matter today. We help children experience God’s love through Bible stories, crafts, games and more., as we learn to follow Jesus. Youth Summer Bible Class – 10:00am • This summer youth bible class will be held at McDonald’s (next to the church) for breakfast and bible study. They will be looking at what the bible says about serving him as a teen and having bible-based discussions. Be sure to have the bible app downloaded on to your phone!
The Mid-week Bible Class for Adults • Wednesday Mornings 9:30am – 10:30am in the Board Room. Our topic is looking at Scriptures for the upcoming Sunday’s theme. Led by Pastor Ken.

Church/Preschool Offices Closed • Offices will be closed tomorrow, September 2 for Labor Day. A federal holiday in the United States celebrated on the first Monday in September to honor and recognize the American labor movement and the works and contributions of laborers to the development and achievements of the United States.

New Member Sunday: September 15 • Becoming a member of Prince of Peace/Príncipe de Paz can be a way giving public expression of your faith and formally connecting with the community of faith God has given us here. We will be receiving new members on Sunday, September 15. Information will be mailed out this week to those who have expressed interest or have attended our Pastors’ Receptions. Youth Lock-In on Friday, September 6 at 10pm – September 7 at 8am • Come join the fun as we spend the night “locked in” at church while we participate in a variety of games, activities and more. We will have some late-night pizza delivered and ask that each person bring a snack to share. We will have a blend of active and less active experiences, a powerful late-night devotion and more. LWML FLGA District Convention – Donations Needed by Sunday, September 8 The LWML is asking for donations for the District Convention on September 13-15. Items purchased can be full or travel sized and items such as toothbrushes, brushes and combs must be in a sealed package. Items Needed: Deodorant, razors, shaving cream, (men & women’s), lotions – body & hands, toothpaste – adults & children’s, toothbrushes, brushes and combs, hair conditioner, soap bars/liquid soap, non-alcohol mouthwash – mini’s, ChapSticks, hand sanitizer (4oz), dental floss and cotton balls or swabs. All donations can be dropped off before or after church services in the narthex or family life center.

Advanced Registration is Now OPEN for Confirmation Classes beginning Wednesday, September 11 • For 6th-12th grade students who have not yet completed confirmation. This class will meet online using Zoom on select Wednesday evenings (about twice a month). Starting on Wednesday, September 11 at 6:30pm. Advance registration is required, and each student should plan on picking up class materials from DCE Eric Gerken prior to the first session. National Youth Gathering 2025 Information Meeting – Sunday, September 8 at 6pm The National Youth Gathering in New Orleans in summer 2025 is going to be incredible! To help you decide about attending, we will have a meeting at 6pm for eligible students and their parents to discuss the event.  What IS it? Why should I go? What else will we do in New Orleans? How will we get there? How much does it cost? These questions and more will be discussed as the time for registration approaches. This is only an informational meeting. You are not making any commitments by coming to gather information.

Middle School Youth GatheringRegistration is now Open All 6th- 8th grade students on our Youth Ministry Mailing List are being sent registration materials for this fun and faith filled annual event. Students and adults from all over Florida and Georgia will gather Friday, November 1- Sunday, November 3 at Lake Yale Baptist Conference Center in Leesburg, FL. The weekend features lots of speakers, a band, games, servant projects and more. If you know of a student who has not received a registration packet or if you would like to help offset the registration costs for a student/family, please contact DCE Eric Gerken at the church office.

Nursery Ministry Volunteers Needed! At long last, Nursery Ministry is returning to our Sunday Morning schedule! We are looking to provide a supervised Nursery for families and to staff it with several volunteers. We will provide care, and supervision of children during the 9:00 service, the Sunday School hour and during both 11:00 services. We are looking for volunteers willing to take hour-long shifts once or twice a month. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and submit to a criminal background check. Please contact DCE Eric Gerken in the church office to sign up or ask about more information.

Compassion Project – Donations Needed! We are seeking the following items: AA and AAA batteries; men’s socks (white or black), and toothbrushes. All items can be dropped off in the church office, and they will be delivered to the Samaritan Resource Center. Thank you for helping those in need.
