TODAY: “The World Turned Upside Down” • Matthew 10:34-44; Jeremiah 28:3-9; Romans 7:1-13 • Was Jesus a revolutionary? His call to take up our cross certainly is. The cross doesn’t merely improve our priorities; it inverts them. Weakness is revealed as strength. The King reigns by dying. The last are first. The servant is greatest. The one who loses his life finds it. That is a kingdom unlike any the world has ever known. This is the kingdom of God that Jesus ushers in—the kingdom into which Jesus calls us then sends us to live and proclaim.

Would you be in a more favorable tax position if you make an IRA gift to Prince of Peace? More members over 70½ have chosen to make a donation to Prince of Peace through their traditional IRA. Directing all or part of your RMD to the church is a Qualified Charitable Donation (QCD) that can benefit Prince of Peace without those dollars being included in your taxable income. Learn more by clicking here https://bit.ly/ira-charity-gifts.

Is the Stock Market Up? —Consider making a gift of appreciated stock, mutual fund, or another asset. The best assets to use for a gift are those that have appreciated significantly, such as publicly traded securities and real property. Assets you’ve owned for more than one year may qualify for a full range of tax benefits. Typical appreciated assets may include publicly traded securities, privately/closely held stock, mutual funds, and more. Learn more by clicking here https://bit.ly/donate-appreciated-assets.

Please Contribute to the Pastors Discretionary Fund When you make special gifts to the Discretionary Fund—above and beyond your regular offerings—donations you are often helping meet the acute, critical needs of someone in our church family.
