New Series: “Blessed” • Blessed is not what we achieve, earn, or hold—it’s who we are in Christ. Out of that identity, we live as a blessing in the world.
Today: “Blessed in Welcome” • Scripture Readings: Luke 17:11-19; Ruth 1:1-19; 2 Timothy 2:1-13 • Jesus’ welcome is not reserved for the respectable or familiar; it reaches those we often pass by. Today we see Jesus welcome ten lepers with healing when they cry out to Him from a distance, healing them with mercy. One—a Samaritan—returns to praise God and fall at Jesus’ feet. In that moment we see the full circle of blessing: the outcast welcomed, healed, and restored to worship. Application: In a world quick to divide and slow to embrace, we are blessed by Jesus’ radical welcome—and called to share that same gracious welcome with others.

Sunday Nursery • 9:00am – While our 9:00am nursery is not staffed, but parents are welcome to use this space with their children, providing their own supervision, and watching the livestream.

Bible Classes
Adult Sunday Morning Bible Class at 10:00 am • The class is led by Jim Essig. We are studying the Gospel of John. Classes are in the Music Room during our 10:00 am Education Hour, between 9 am & 11 am worship.
SUNDAY SCHOOL FOR AGE 4 – GRADE 5: Kingdom Quest • Kingdom Quest is a Bible overview curriculum that teaches children the core stories of the Bible and helps them see why they matter today. We help children experience God’s love through Bible stories, crafts, games and more., as we learn to follow Jesus. Youth Bible Class – 10:00am • The youth bible class meets in the board room (church office) for Bible study. They will be looking at what the Bible says about serving him as a teen and having bible-based discussions. Be sure to have the bible app downloaded onto your phone!

Today is LWML Sunday! • The LWML invites the entire Congregation to celebrate as the Body of Christ, remembering how through the ages the women of the Lord have never just stood by, but have been “ready to serve.” Our Lutheran Women in Mission joyfully proclaim Christ, support missions, and equip women to honor God by serving others.

Blessing of The Bibles – Sunday, October 19 – All Services • We are asking everyone to bring their Bible to church. During the Children’s Message in each service, everyone, children, and adults, will be asked to raise up their Bible to be prayed over. This can be a “normal” Bible, a children’s picture Bible, an E-book, or whatever you use to read God’s Word. If you don’t have your own copy of God’s word and would like one, contact DCE, Eric Gerken.
Trunk or Treat – Save the Date: Sunday, October 26 at 4:00pm • Plan now to attend or decorate a trunk on Sunday, October 26th for our annual Community Trunk or Treat event. We will be hosting hundreds of children and their families as we share candy, prizes and smiles with them. We are also be collecting candy and financial donations to support this project. FLGA Youth Ministry Weekend – November 7-9 • Middle School and High School retreats happen the same weekend at the same camp, with separate programs, housing, and activities.
